About three weeks ago we were given a newsletter at Tristan's daycare. It said we could get a list of the students' names so they could exchange valentines.....hmmmm....they are 3 to 13 months old and they need valentines? I hadn't planned to do that but I decided to ask one of the ladies to see if most parents did. I was told pretty much all of them exchange valentines so then of course I had to get some for Tristan to give his "friends" because I sure don't want to be THAT mom. Last night we wrote out his valentines and got his teachers' present ready. It felt a bit strange doing valentines for infants but we did it! My little man sure wasn't going to be the only one not. I found some 3D valentines that weren't made of paper so in case they wind up in the babies mouths (which I'm sure they will) it won't make a mess in their mouths. I think I got some good ones because they keep Tristan entertained!
Since today is Tristan's first Valentine's Day of course we had to celebrate by taking pictures. He wasn't doing very well at first...he would just focus on the camera instead of me and all I got were some bored looks from him. Finally I had to call in Daddy reserves....after that, the pics turned out great! He got a kick out of his funny dad and smiled away! Notice the shirt he's wearing...he picked it out himself...said the girls just couldn't help themselves! :)

3 Months....Where Does the Time Go??
I cannot believe Tristan is already three months old...technically 14 weeks....I'm a bit behind in my blogs! He has really grown this past month and is soooo much fun! He smiles all the time and even laughs now. His favorite game is to have you stick your tongue out at him and he just smiles and laughs while trying to stick his out too! So cute! He has adjusted to daycare and likes the wonderful ladies who take care of him during the day. I still don't like leaving him in the mornings but it is so much easier now. No waterworks! It warms my heart to walk in and see him smiling at one of them. They seem to enjoy him just as much!
He's really growing now and awake most of the time. I didn't realize how much house work I used to get done while he was sleeping. Those days are over! He's also slept through the night three times now. He'll go down at 9:00 and won't wake up until 4:00am usually which is pretty good. The only bad part is our alarm goes off at 5:00am so by the time he gets changed and fed, it's time for us to get up! At least he sleeps (usually) while I'm getting ready in the mornings. Considering how clingy he's gotten, that's a big relief. The one time he decided to be awake while I got ready turned into a mess! He would scream bloody murder if I put him down but stop and smile the second I picked him up. Needless to say, I went to work with a raggedy ponytail and shoes that didn't match and didn't even realize it until I was at work! Quite embarrassing...

His grumpy face
He's catching up to the bear!
